About Me - Christeena Gallahue for OCBOE District 2

I am a wife, parent, advocate, small business owner, and supporter of education. My experiences have given me a unique perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing Oldham County Schools.

• I attended public schools in Indiana and, during my senior year of high school, served as a cadet teacher, while exploring a career in education. Those early experiences gave me an appreciation for the important role educators play in the lives of students and the strength of our communities.
  
• I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Indiana University Southeast, where I developed a strong interest in child development, learning, and human behavior. My professional experience includes working in behavioral health services with children, adolescents, and adults, giving me firsthand insight into the diverse needs of students and families.
  
• I helped build a small business that designs and manufactures ceramic tools used by artists around the world. Through that experience, I gained valuable skills in budgeting, operations, accountability, and responsible financial management.
  
• My family moved to Oldham County in 2016, and I am the proud parent of two children. My son graduated from South Oldham High School in 2025, and my daughter attended Oldham County Schools from first through tenth grade.
  

Long before becoming a candidate, I was actively involved in advocating for students, families, transparency, accountability, open government, and parental involvement within Oldham County Schools. I have worked to ensure that parents voices are heard and continue to advocate for all students to have access to safe, supportive learning environments, where their rights and opportunities are protected.

My commitment to students, families, and public education will continue long into the future. It will not end when this election is over. I will continue working on behalf of students and families, but I believe serving on the Board of Education would provide an opportunity to make an even greater impact for our students and community.
