Actions speak louder than promises. Before becoming a candidate, I was already advocating for students.

I have:

• Advocated for students and families when concerns involving student safety arose.
• Supported children with disabilities and special needs, as both a parent and a behavioral health professional.
• Worked with children and adolescents facing mental health, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
• Pursued transparency and accountability when parents sought information affecting their children.
• Studied school policies, procedures, regulations, and student rights to better understand how decisions impact students and families.
• Advocated for policy changes and safeguards designed to better protect students.
• Researched issues involving special education, student safety, Title IX, behavioral supports, and parental involvement.
• Listened to families who felt unheard.
• Spent years advocating for students, before ever considering a run for public office.

These experiences have reinforced my belief that students should remain at the center of every decision made by a school district.

If elected, I will support:

• Educational opportunities that recognize the diverse strengths, challenges, interests, and learning styles of students.
• Strong partnerships between schools and families, with meaningful parent involvement in educational decisions.
• High quality special education services and the resources necessary to help students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially.
• Support for students who may lack a strong advocate and need additional assistance to reach their potential.
• Advanced learning opportunities that challenge high achieving students and encourage continued growth.
• Access to career ready programs, the arts, athletics, advanced coursework, and other pathways that help students pursue their interests and goals.
• Safe, supportive learning environments where students feel respected, valued, and able to focus on learning.
• Policies that ensure every student has the opportunity to move forward, regardless of where they begin.
• Continuous evaluation of programs and services to ensure resources are directed where they have the greatest impact on student outcomes.

Our responsibility is to support students who are struggling, challenge students who are excelling, and help every learner reach their full potential.
